Referrals built your firm. They will not grow it past the partners' network
Almost every accounting practice under twenty people grows the same way: referrals, then a plateau at roughly the size of the partners' personal networks. It is a good problem to have and a hard one to solve, because the thing that got you here does not scale — you cannot meet more people faster.
Meanwhile there is a steady flow of businesses actively looking right now. The founder who just incorporated and needs a first year-end. The company that has outgrown its bookkeeper. The business owner who has received a CRA review letter and is frightened. These are high-intent, high-value searches, and they are being answered by whichever firm explained the situation most clearly online.
Accounting firm websites lose these for a consistent reason: they are written for other accountants. Service pages that say "assurance and advisory services" to a person who typed "do I need an audit or a review". The firms winning these enquiries are not better accountants. They answered the question in the language it was asked.
What a build includes
Pages for what businesses actually search
Year-end and T2 filing, incorporation, CRA audit support, HST, payroll, cross-border, SR&ED, business valuation — each as a findable page rather than a bullet on a services list.
Written for a business owner, not a peer
Plain language, real examples, the actual decision the reader is trying to make. This is the single biggest differentiator available to an accounting firm online.
Fee structure and onboarding made clear
You do not have to publish a price list, but explaining how you charge and what the first month looks like dramatically improves enquiry quality.
Industry pages where you have depth
If you are strong with dentists, restaurants, construction or professional corporations, each deserves its own page — those searches convert far better than generic ones.
Client portal and software positioning
Which cloud platforms you work in, how documents move, what the client actually has to do. Increasingly a deciding factor.
Deadline and compliance content
Genuinely useful calendar and deadline content that earns links and returns visitors year after year.
Enquiry tracking on every page
So you can see which services and industries actually bring clients, and write more of what works.
Structured for AI assistants
A machine-readable firm guide so assistants can recommend you accurately when a business owner asks for a CPA in your city.
Why twelve weeks, not six months
Not by cutting scope. Every page on your site starts from one structured record of your real services, real coverage areas, real prices and real answers — supplied by you, approved by you. Pages, structured data and internal links generate from that record, then every page gets a human editing pass before it ships.
That is why a build of this size is measured in weeks rather than months, and it is why we can afford to give you a page for every service in every area rather than one page that tries to cover everything. It is also the reason we will not build pages for services you do not offer or areas you do not serve — pages without genuine substance are penalised across a whole domain, not just the page.
Questions we get asked
How much does an accounting firm website cost?
A full platform from Elevance Labs runs $18,000 to $45,000 depending on how many services and industries you cover. A two-week Recovery Sprint on your existing site is $2,500.
Will this actually bring in clients, or just look better?
The point of the build is enquiry volume, and every page is tracked so you can see it. If your current site cannot tell you how many enquiries it produced last month, that is the first thing we fix — usually in the first week.
We get all our work through referrals. Why change?
You should not stop — referred clients stay significantly longer than any other source. But referral growth is capped by the size of your network, and it is not something you control. Search demand is additional, it is high-intent, and the businesses searching right now are choosing somebody.
Do we have to publish our fees?
No. But explaining how you charge — fixed fee, monthly, hourly — and what the first month looks like will noticeably improve the quality of enquiries you receive and reduce time wasted on unqualified calls.
How long does it take?
Eight to twelve weeks from kickoff to launch. We work around your calendar — most firms prefer to build in the summer and launch before the autumn year-end run.
Can you write the content, or do we have to?
We write it, you approve it. Everything technical or client-facing goes through your review before publication, and nothing regarding fees, scope or professional obligations is published without partner sign-off.
Do we own the website?
Yes. Standard WordPress, documented, no lock-in.
What is AI optimisation and does it matter for accountants?
Business owners increasingly ask an assistant for a recommendation rather than searching. We publish a machine-readable guide to the firm and structure your pages so assistants can quote you accurately. It is about one percent of web traffic today and growing quickly, which makes it cheap to prepare for now.

The approach is the same across sectors — the vocabulary changes.
Fifteen minutes. We'll tell you where your enquiries are going.
No deck, no discovery questionnaire, no budget form. We look at your site before the call so we arrive with something specific to say — and if you don't need a rebuild, we'll tell you that too.
